The original bill was two pages long and primarily addressed out of state health care providers treating athletes on traveling sports teams. This topic was outside the scope of NVIC's area of interest and not posted on the portal. The 3/27/2023 amendment which authorized pharmacy technicians to administer vaccines triggered NVIC's interest in posting this bill and drawing attention to this portion and posting a position of OPPOSE. Some of the other new language covered licensing requirements and NVIC takes no position on the portions of the bill that are not related to vaccines.
