UPDATE: 2/7/2023 - HB 143 was amended by the full House to narrow the scope of the bill to apply to requirements for COVID-19 and any variant thereof. NVIC still supports the bill as amended.

HB 143 was received for introduction in the House on 1/17/2023.  This bill is sponsored by Representatives Ward, Allemand, Haroldson, Jennings, Locke, Pendergraft, Slagle and Strock and Senators Hutchings and Ide.

This bill would enact the following new law:

The United States centers for disease control and prevention and the World Health Organization shall have no jurisdiction in Wyoming and any requirements, mandates, recommendations, instructions or guidance provided by either organization shall not be used in this state to justify any mask, vaccine or medical testing requirements and shall have no force or effect in Wyoming.

If passed the new law would into effect on July 1, 2023.
