UPDATE: 4/14/2017 - SB 632 passed the House Committee on General Government Oversight and Accountability on 4/11/2017.

UPDATE: 3/23/2017 - SB 632 passed the full Senate on 3/22/2017.

UPDATE 3/3/2017: SB 632 passed Senate Committee on Education on as a committee substitute bill on 2/20/2017.

The new Section E. was amended and includes a new part saying: 

E. A student who has been placed in state care and transferred

and/or enrolled pursuant to this section shall have thirty (30) days

from the date of enrollment to obtain immunizations required by

Section 1210.191 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes. If a series

of immunizations is required, the student shall have thirty (30)

days from the date of enrollment to receive the initial dose. Upon

enrollment, the receiving school shall verbally inform the parent,

legal guardian or legal custodian of the student about the

immunization exemptions provided for in Section 1210.192 of Title 70

of the Oklahoma Statutes.

UPDATE 2/3/2017: SB 632 will have a second reading on 2/7/2017 and was referred to the Senate Committee on Education.

SB 632 is scheduled for a first reading on 2/6/2017.  This bill is sponsored by Senator Ron Sharp.  

This bill enacts a new law titled the "Education Compact for Students in State Care Act".

New Section E. requires any student in state care to be vaccinated within 30 days with the vaccines currently required by state law.  No exemptions are provided in this bill.  Current exemptions to vaccination are in Section 1210.192. http://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements/oklahoma.aspx
