UPDATE: 1/3/2017 - The draft text for LC 488 has been posted - http://leg.mt.gov/bills/2017/billpdf/LC0488.pdf  The draft bill would add pneumococcal conjugate vaccine to the list of vaccines that pharmacists can administer.  Current law allows pharmacists to administer pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine and tetanus and diphtheria to individuals who are 18 years of age or older, herpes zoster vaccine and flu vaccines to individuals 12 and older.

There is not specific informed consent requirement for children 12 and older being vaccinated for flu vaccine by a pharmacist, only that a vaccine information statement be given to the individual or the individual's legal representative.

Specific parental, informed consent for children should be in any law that allows pharmacists to administer vaccines to children.
