SB 1494 prohibits disqualifying individuals from unemployment benefit eligibility on the basis of being fired for noncompliance with a COVID-19 vaccine or booster mandate. Any benefits paid to such an employee may not be charged against an employer's account if the mandate was required by law.

NVIC Advocacy does not support vaccine mandates, however this bill will help those how have been fired.
