UPDATE: 1/18/2022 - HB 19 was read for the first time and referred to the House of Representatives Health committee on 1/11/2022.

HB 19 is prefiled for the 2022 legislative session.  This bill is sponsored by Rep. Chip Brown. 

Current Alabama law allows minors who are 14 years of age or older to consent on their own to medical, dental, health or mental health services. This includes vaccination. HB 19 would require consent from parents or legal guardians for vaccinations given to all un-emancipated minors.
