Description:

The governor of Montana issued Executive Order No. 7-2021 on 4/13/2021. It prohibits state government entities from (1) requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination to access state services or facilities, (2) producing, issuing, or funding COVID-19 vaccine passports, and (3) providing an individual’s COVID-19 vaccination status to any person, company, or governmental entity to be included in a COVID-19 vaccine passport program.

 

The executive order prohibits all government entities in Montana from issuing COVID-19 vaccine passports or any standardized documentation meant to certify an individual’s COVID-19 vaccination status to a third party. It also prohibits them from otherwise publishing or sharing an individual’s COVID-19 vaccination record or similar health information. Finally, it prohibits all government entities from compelling someone to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

 

The executive order also prohibits Montana businesses from requiring patrons or customers to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or recovery to access or receive services.
