The Colorado Vaccine and Health Choice Summit scheduled for 10/28/2019 has been cancelled due to weather concerns.  We will post the date and time when available.

Join Colorado Representative Saine and Senator Vicki Marble for the second summit meeting to continue the comprehensive discussion regarding vaccines and health care choice in Colorado.

The purpose of the Summit is to have a full discussion regarding the topics of vaccines and health care choice.

Presentations will be made, followed by questions from invited summit panelists of the presentors and an extended opportunity for public comment.

This discussion impacts all Coloradans. The National Vaccine Information Center is an invited panelist and will participate in the meeting. We encourage our supporters to attend and to encourage their family, friends and legislators to attend.

Thank you to everyone who attended the first meeting of the Vaccine and Health Care Choice Summit that was held on 8/22/2019 at the Colorado State Capitol.  

Theresa Wrangham, Executive Director for NVIC gave a presentation and overview of state and federal vaccine law.  Ronnie Prine shared the story of his son Eric's vaccine injury.  

In addition to Rep. Saine and Senator Marble, Representatives Baisley, Williams and Geitner also attended.  Panelists included Carolyn Martin, Legislative Liaison for CCEC; Phil Silberman, Board Member of Colorado Health Choice Alliance; Dr. John Kucera, MD; Dr. Michael Gaeta, DAc, MS, CDN and Ronnie Prine.  Several of the people who attended were given time to make comments at the end of the presentations.  

The next meeting will be sometime in Sept.  We will let you know as soon as the details are available. 

We encourage you to invite a friend and your own personal Colorado State House Member and Senator to the next meeting. 

 

Invitation to Colorado Vaccine and Health Care Choice Summit

Dear Colorado NVIC Advocacy Team Members,

In response to feedback from many Colorado parents, Representative Lori Saine and Senator Vicky Marble are sponsoring Colorado's Vaccine and Health Care Choice Summit on August 22nd at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Colorado's State Capitol at 200 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80203. The first summit meeting will be held in House Committee Room 112. Panelists invited to participate include:

  • National Vaccine Information Center 
  • Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment 
  • Colorado Health Choice Alliance 
  • Medical Physician 
  • Christian Home Educators of Colorado 
  • State Senators and Representatives 
  • Stakeholder representing complimentary alternative medicine practitioners 
  • Stakeholder representing vaccine-injured persons 
  • Colorado Children's Immunization Coalition 
  • Children’s Hospital 
  • Public School Board Member 

The purpose of the summit is to have a full discussion regarding vaccines and health care choice to generate a series of recommendations by the end of October that may result in changes to rule-making and/or statute relating to vaccines. Subsequent meetings will be announced after the August meeting. Presentations will be made at each summit meeting followed by panelist Q & A. The last 10-15 minutes of the meeting will be for citizen comments. NVIC encourages the public to attend this important summit to make sure our side is well represented, ask their legislators to attend, and to make their concerns on this topic known.
