UPDATE: 5/30/2017 - SB 272 passed the House Committee On Higher Education and Workforce Development and 2nd reading on 5/30/2017.

UPDATE 1/17/2017: SB 274 was referred to the Senate Committee on Education on 1/17/2017.

SB 274 was introduced on 1/9/2017.  The bill was filed at the request of the Senate Interim Committee on Health Care for Nan Heim Associates.  

This bill would add a new law that mandates each post-secondary educational institution that provides housing for
students shall provide to each student enrolling or registering at the institution for the first
time information on vaccine-preventable diseases known to occur in individuals between 16
and 21 years of age including at a minimum each strain of meningococcal disease; Tetanus; Diphtheria; Pertussis; Human papillomavirus; and Influenza.
