HB 126 was introduced on 11/14/2016 and is sponsored by Rep. Sarah Davis.  

This bill proposes the following:

Restricts the current conscientious and religious belief exemptions for students by requiring the parent, guardian or adult college student to complete an immunization education module.  

Requires the health department to develop and maintain an Internet website that contains the immunization educational module and verification process to certify successful completion of the module. 

The module must only present information published by the CDC concerning epidemiology, prevention of disease through the use of vaccines and safety and efficacy of vaccines.  

The department may collect a fee for issuing a certificate of completion.
