UPDATE: 2/21/2015 - HB 73 was tabled by the House Human Services Committee on 2/20/2015.  The definition of table in the MT Legislature is - Table: A motion used in committees to set aside consideration of a bill. The committee may vote to take up consideration of a bill that has been tabled, but often this motion is used to kill a bill quietly.

HB 73 was introduced on Dec. 10, 2014 and referred to the House Human Services Committee on Dec. 23, 2014. The bill had it's first reading in the house on Jan. 5, 2015  The bill is sponsored by Rep. This bill would allow health care providers to disclose information to the department of public health and human services for inclusion in the state immunization information system. 

Section 1.  Section 50-16-530, MCA, is amended to read:

 "50-16-530.  Disclosure without patient's authorization. A health care provider may disclose health care information about a patient without the patient's authorization if the disclosure is:

(8) to the department of public health and human services for inclusion in the state immunization information system unless the patient or the patient's parent or guardian, if the patient is under 18 years of age, has completed and filed with the provider a form prohibiting disclosure of the information
