A738 was introduced on 1/9/2017 and referred to the Assembly Committee on Health. This bill is sponsored by Assembly Member Gunther. This bill would mandate vaccines for employees of children's day camps by adding the following new law:
The commissioner shall promulgate rules and regulations requiring each children's overnight camp, summer day camp and traveling summer day camp to ensure that employees working at such camps be immunized against mumps, measles, rubella, diphtheria, varicella, pertussis and tetanus.
This subdivision shall not apply to employees who hold genuine and sincere religious beliefs which are contrary to the practices required by this subdivision.
