UPDATE 3/6/2017: SB 101 Passed House Committee on Health and Family Services on 3/3/17.

UPDATE 2/24/2017: SB 101 passed the full Senate on 2/22/17.

UPDATE 2/16/2017: SB 101 was referred to the Senate Health & Welfare Committee on 2/15/2017.

UPDATE 1/7/2017: SB 101 was referred to the Senate Health & Welfare Committee on 1/7/2017.

SB 101 was introduced on 1/5/2017 and is sponsored by Senator Julie Adams.   This bill would allow pharmacists to administer vaccines to children 9 years and older.  Current law allows pharmacists to administer vaccines to children 11 and older pursuant to prescriber-approved protocols with the consent of a parent or guardian.

This bill should be watched for any amendments to parental consent.
