SB 101 was introduced on 1/5/2017 and is sponsored by Senator Julie Adams. This bill would allow pharmacists to administer vaccines to children 9 years and older. Current law allows pharmacists to administer vaccines to children 11 and older pursuant to prescriber-approved protocols with the consent of a parent or guardian.
This bill should be watched for any amendments to parental consent.
