UPDATE 1/17/2017: HB 1533 was referred to House Committee on Health, Welfare and Institutions on 12/27/2016 and was recently assigned to subcommittee #1 on 1/16/2017.  There has also been a companion bill, SB 1519 , filed in the senate.

HB 1533 was prefiled on 12/27/2016 and to be offered on Jan. 11, 2017.  This bill is sponsored by Delegate Patrick Hope. 

HB 1533 would add one dose of meningococcal conjugate (meningitis) vaccine the the list of vaccines required for students before they enter the sixth grade.
