UPDATE 5/28/2017: SB 54 died failing to get a hearing.  Note, this bill is similar to several others that Senator Zaffirini has filed in past sessions attempting to get rid of opt-in informed consent for the vaccine tracking system.

UPDATE 1/25/2017: SB 54 was referred to Senate Committee on Health & Human Services on 1/24/2017.

SB 54 was introduced on 11/14/2016 and is sponsored by Senator Zaffirini.  This bill would remove current protection in law for consent before any information is put into the immunization registry, ImmTrac.
