UPDATE 5/28/2017: HB 243 died failing to gather enough support to even get a hearing. Note, Representative Howard has filed similar bills in several past legislative sessions. These are bad bills. Also note that cosponsors Davis and Sheffield were authors of other bills this session detrimental to informed consent, medical privacy, and exemption rights.
UPDATE 2/15/2017: HB 243 was referred to the House Committee on Public Health on 2/13/2017.
HB 243 was introduced on 11/14/2016 and is sponsored by Rep. Howard. This bill would remove current protection in law that requires prior written or electronic consent before any information can be put into the immunization registry, ImmTrac.
