Description:

UPDATE: HB 2105 failed to move forward and died. 

HB 2105 was filed on 3/2/2015 and referred to the Public Education Committee on 3/13/2015.  This bill is sponsored by Rep. Eddie Lucio III.

This bill would add the following new law in TX:

(g) When a person who has not received the immunizations required by this section enrolls in a public elementary or secondary school, the school shall provide notice of the person ’s enrollment and lacking immunizations to the parent or guardian of each student enrolled in the school. The notice may not identify the person lacking immunizations.

(h student ’s parent or guardian who receives notice under

Subsection (g) may request transfer of the student to another

public school as provided by Subchapter B, Chapter 25.
