UPDATE: SB 558 passed the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee on 5/7/15.

SB 558 is scheduled for a hearing in the Veterans' Affairs Committee on 4/23.

SB 558 was introduced on 2/26/2015.  The bill is sponsored by Senator Brown.  The bill was referred to Veterans' Affairs and Health Committees on 3/18/2015. 

This bill requires licensed long-term care facilities to offer influenza vaccinations for its health care workers and other employees with direct contact with patients. Such vaccinations shall be offered every year at the facility itself, subject to the availability of the vaccine. Each facility shall maintain a record of a signed statement from each health care worker and employee stating that he or she has been offered the vaccination and has either accepted or declined it.
